Hourly Rounding at Volunteer Community Hospital
Martin, TN As a part of the Volunteer Community Hospital (VCH) patient care commitment, patients will notice some significant differences in the delivery of service. One of the newest commitments to patients is Hourly Rounding. During hospital inpatient stays patients can expect to be visited hourly by one of the caregivers. By making hourly rounds, needs can be anticipated and met in a timely manner.
When caregivers come into patient rooms for Hourly Rounding they will be checking on patients to monitor comfort and pain level, help move and change positions and assist with whatever patients’ needs are. Caregivers will also make sure that patients have access to the things they need within their room. The VCH team is dedicated to anticipating personal needs and actively monitoring well-being of patients on an hourly basis so that family and friends can help patients focus on their recovery.
Hourly rounding can improve care, increase comfort, and assure a safe environment. For questions about services at VCH or other information please call 587-4261 or visit www.volunteercommunityhospital.com
