Outpatient Surgery
 

Volunteer Community Hospital ‘s Outpatient Surgery Department is located in the center of the hospital behind the front lobby, and is accessible by entering through the front lobby or the center door at the back of the hospital with the Outpatient Surgery sign. Surgery and other outpatient diagnostic procedures are performed on pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients.

Outpatient Surgery services are limited to patients who can undergo a surgical or invasive procedure without the need of a lengthy stay in the hospital. The gastrointestinal diagnostic laboratory performs endoscopic testing and surgeries are performed in the hospital’s surgical suite. Categories of surgery include general, gynecological, genitourinary, orthopedic, and podiatry. No cardiac or neurological procedures are performed.

The Outpatient Surgery Department’s nursing staff has special training in caring for patient’s receiving surgical and endoscopic procedures.
